Fees
_____________________________________________________
Members of Chambers perform private and publicly-funded work.
Rates are pre-determined for publicly-funded cases.
But for privately-funded cases, rates are subject to negotiation and will depend on such factors as:
* Seniority of Counsel
* Complexity of matter
* Sum / matter at stake
* Time involved for preparation and attending Court as appropriate.
Rates range from approximately £50 per hour for junior members to £250 per hour for a senior member preparing work on a complex matter.
Conditional Fee Agreements
_____________________________________________________
Some members undertake work under Conditional Fee Agreements (CFAs) in appropriate cases. Not all cases are appropriate for CFAs and even where a CFA might, in theory, be a possibility, the barrister concerned may advise on the facts.
Contact the Clerksroom with details of the nature of your case, and they will agree to place it before a member of Chambers before a decision is made on funding arrangements.
Direct Professional Access
_____________________________________________________
Some members practise under direct instructions from professionals other than solicitors, e.g. accountants, engineers etc.
If you are a fellow professional with a problem in your specialist area, please contact the Clerksroom.
Direct Public Access
_____________________________________________________
The Bar has recently been opened to direct public access in certain areas (not including, for example, family and crime).
Only senior members of Chambers who have registered with the Bar Council may undertake such work and may only do so if they are of the view that the interests of justice do not require a solicitor to be engaged. Contact the Clerksroom for more information.

Estimates and Fixed Fees
_____________________________________________________
We are always happy to consider the level of fees before you commit yourself to instructing one of our counsel. Estimates can be given and, in appropriate cases, fixed fees agreed.
Contact the Clerksroom for an informal discussion about the way forward with any of your cases.
