Background

Natalie graduated in Law from London Guildhall University in 1996 and obtained a Masters Degree in International & Comparative Business Law in 1998. She was called to the Bar in November 1999 by Middle Temple.

She worked a year for BAE Systems Avionics as a Contracts Officer dealing with the preparation and negotiation of standard and non-standard contracts.

Natalie went to Northern Ireland in 2001 and was called to the Northern Ireland Bar and completed pupillage there. After practising in Northern Ireland for eighteen months, she returned to London and was offered a tenancy at Clock Chambers in Wolverhampton in February 2004. She spent three years practising on the Midlands Circuit before returning to London and joining Academy Chambers in May 2007.


Areas of Practice

Natalie has been instructed in Criminal Prosecution and Defence work in the Magistrate’s court and her work consists of conducting trials on a daily basis. She has also dealt with remand courts, case management hearings, early first hearings and bail applications. Natalie has been instructed to prosecute in the Crown Court for sentencing, appeal against conviction & sentence and bail applications.

Natalie has dealt with a variety of offences in the magistrate’s court but has a keen interest in domestic violence issues, offences against women and youth issues.
