Ruth Jackson

Call: 2002 Inner Temple

Ruth aims to provide a friendly and efficient service to her professional clients and first-class representation, combined with an approachable and sensitive service, to her lay client.
Before coming to the Bar, Ruth had a successful career as a university lecturer and professional musician.

Family

* Matrimonial Finance. Realistic advice at an early stage in proceedings will often enable couples to reach an agreement by consent. Where this is not possible, Ruth will represent throughout the court proceedings, and endeavour to obtain the most favourable outcome for her client.
* Disputes involving children. (Section 8 Applications)
* Domestic violence and the family home. (Injunctive relief – non-molestation orders, occupation orders and breaches of orders)

Civil Litigation

* All manner of hearings from small claims to multi-track
* Personal injury
* Contract and commercial disputes
* Consumer credit and sales of goods

Employment

* Unfair and wrongful dismissal, unlawful discrimination, TUPE and equal pay.
* Recognising that a successful outcome may often avoid a contested hearing, Ruth is also happy to advise on the merits of claims and settlement.
